Adele Mori is a musician involved in a wide variety of projects throughout New York City. An enthusiastic collaborator, Adele has worked closely with a diverse range of composers and premiered numerous works composed for solo cello as well as ensemble. She has performed and recorded with musicians and groups including American Ballet Theater, String Orchestra of Brooklyn, American Symphony Orchestra, ensemble mise-en, Tony Conrad, John Cale, and Chk Chk Chk, and has performed at such venues as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Bargemusic, Roulette, The Whitney Museum, MoMA, The United Nations, and various shows on Broadway. Adele received a master's degree in cello performance from Mannes College at The New School, where she studied with Marcy Rosen, a Bachelor of Arts from Bennington College, and completed post graduate cello performance studies at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. Having completed Suzuki pedagogical training at the School for Strings in NYC under the tutelage of Pam Devenport, Adele has taught for Brooklyn College Preparatory School, The Harmony Program, Youth Orchestra of St. Luke's, Saint David's School, and Immaculate Conception High School for Girls in Kingston, Jamaica. Adele currently teaches cello at The United Nations International School, and in her private studio to students of all ages and levels. |
